In Greene County district court Randy Alan Gray Jr, 36, of Scranton was sentenced July 27 to two years in prison after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of theft-third degree. The prison term was to be consecutive to the term in a case in which Gray was charged with operating while intoxicated, and to a term of 365 days in jail to which he was sentenced on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. The prison/jail time was suspended and he was placed on probation for two years.
On the theft charge, Gray was fined $625 with a $218.75 surcharge. The fine and surcharge were suspended but he must pay a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge. On the methamphetamine charge, Gray was fined $315 with a $110.25 surcharge, a $125 LEI surcharge, and a $10 DARE surcharge. He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. His driver’s license was revoked for 180 days. Gray must also pay $240 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $140 court costs. A charge of possession of a firearm as a felon was dismissed. (Sentencing: Honorable Adria A. Kester)
Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Shirley Ann Henry, 45, of Boone has ben charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. The warrant was issued Sept. 19, 014, and returned July 22.
